Left to Tell is not a book I would have chosen to read on my own because of its intense subject matter. However, my book club chose this for our current reading selection so I decided to give it try. I am glad I did!
It's the true story of Immaculee Ilibagiza, a young woman who lived in Rwanda during the genocide in the mid-90's. She survived by hiding in a 4 foot by 3 foot bathroom of a pastor's house with 7 other women for 3 months! What makes her story so incredible is the way that God remained close and faithful to her during this horrific time. He definitely was her "refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble" Psalm 46:1.
Reading this book helped me to put my own trials into perspective, encouraged me lean on the Lord like never before, and understand the freeing power of forgiveness.

hmmm i will have to read this one! Love your blog, its super cute!
