The Woes of Potty Training

This morning the boys and I left for Grafton's swimming lesson and about a mile down the road he said he had to go to the bathroom "REALLY BAD" and needed me to hurry. Seeing that we still had another 30 minutes to drive I knew he would never make it. As a result, I pulled into a Walgreen's so that he could use their bathroom.

In his rush to get on the toilet, he got some pee on the floor and then he spent another 15 minutes sitting there (he was going, it was just taking a long time for everything to come out). Since we were in a hurry I decided to use instant hand sanitizer to wash his hands, rather than soap and water. He wanted to do it himself, and I wouldn't let him without my help, so he cried and laid on the ground while wearing only swimming trunks. Because of his fit, I made him use soap and water and we were finally on our way.

We ended up spending 20 minutes in Walgreens and were over 15 minutes late for his 30 minute lesson.

If it weren't for the fact that we had plans to go to breakfast & Target with our friends afterwards, we would have headed home after our bathroom incident.
