Lost & Found (Sort Of)

Today I made a quick run to the grocery store only to realize at the checkout lane that my wallet was not in my purse! The cashier was nice enough to ring up my groceries, save the total, and store my cart in a refrigerator so that I could come back and pay for my groceries once my wallet was found.

I looked frantically for it in the car and at home with no luck. I realized the last time I used it was to buy dinner at the airport in San Diego on Sunday evening. After making several phone calls and canceling my credit card (where no unauthorized purchases had been made, thankfully) I was able to locate most of the contents of my wallet at the airport in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Notice I didn't actually say I located my wallet. That's because my wallet and cash are gone, but the rest was there.

It appears that my wallet must have fallen out of my purse on the plane, and Salt Lake City was the next destination after my flight. Someone found my wallet, took the cash and the wallet itself, but left the rest of its contents to be found and turned in.

Even though losing my wallet and spending money is a bummer, I'm just thankful that everything with important information on it is being returned to me.
