December has brought about a very busy but fun month for our family. Here's a few of the things that we've been doing....
We met my sister Rachel and her family at Bass Pro Shop to get the kids' picture taken with Santa. They have a beautiful display and the pictures are free!
The kids loved decorating the tree this year. At first we couldn't get Deklan to leave the ornaments alone, but he's being good about it now!
Rachel and I put our boys in their pajamas and took them to the library. The library offered gingerbread cookie decorating, caroling, and pajama story time. However, our boys were too hyped up on sugar once story time was starting, so we left and went to Rachel's where they could play and burn off some of that energy.
I joined Grafton on his last day of preschool to help him build a gingerbread house. We had so much fun!
This isn't exactly something we did, but I was happily surprised to find this picture in my camera.... It's my three favorite guys!
My Dad came in town to meet his newest grandson as well as visit with the rest of us. One evening we went to our outdoor mall where they had carriage rides, carolers, and it snowed over the play area.
Deklan loved the snow and even tried to eat it.
Grafton was mad the snow wasn't real and was actually made of foam bubbles.
The boys and I took my dad (their papaw) to the airport and said our goodbye's. I don't know what my deal was, but I cried on and off for two days over him leaving!
We spent an evening at my mom's to have a delicious dinner and open presents. Rachel and I thought it would be fun to go in our jammies (especially since it was a cold and rainy day) and now we may do that every year!
Our church brought in snow for the kids to play in after church. It worked out perfectly when we arrived between services and hardly any kids were out there.
Grafton spent his time throwing snowballs at me and Deklan kept eating it!
I think it will take us a month to recover from our busy December!
