Catching Up

The last couple of weeks have been busy ones, so here's a brief rundown of what's been going on around the Brown House.....

We had my cousin's son, Austin, over during his last week of summer vacation. I was still on the mend from my hurt wrist and it was really hot outside, so I had to come up with some creative entertainment. For example, one evening we grilled hot dogs and had an indoor picnic in our living room while watching Phinneas and Ferb's Summer Vacation Special.

The boys received a care package in the mail from their Grandma and Grandpa B. and their favorite item in it was shoes that make animal footprints in the sand.

My sister Hannah celebrated her 18th birthday! The best gift she received was a Dodge Ram Pick-Up Truck from our Grandpa.

Grafton started his first day of preschool! He was a little nervous at first, but he is loving it and already seems more mature to us.

We met up with some friends at a splash pad to stay cool and get out of the house.

My sister Rachel, her son Drew, my boys and myself spent a few hours at the library. I think we checked out almost 20 books and 9 DVD's which the kids are still enjoying.

A very close friend of mine had her baby! Rachel and I were able to visit and hold her just a few hours after her arrival.

Even though it's still very hot outside, the kids have started using the backyard again and Deklan's favorite is the sandbox. The only problem is that he tracks sand all around our house!

A few other things that have been going on but I haven't taken any pictures of is that I've started my next Bible Study. It's by Beth Moore and the study is Esther..... Last Thursday the boys and I went to my Mom's house (Rachel and a friend of ours were there too) to swim and have lunch. I had only meant to stay for a couple of hours, but we didn't leave until after 5:00..... The small group that Vince and I host started meeting again after taking a three month break for the summer. We had 15 adults and 15 kids attend..... Today I volunteered in Grafton's class. I'll be doing it once a month and helping with the art center. Deklan was able to come too and he even acted like a preschooler for the day.

That's all for now!
