Look Who's Two!

Dekaln turned two-years-old last week and now we officially do not have a baby in the house. Our initial plan was to have our family over after church on Sunday, but seeing that I had hurt my wrist two days before and couldn't use my right hand, we had to cancel those plans.

On Deklan's actual birthday a few family members were still wanting to come over and see him and bring his gift, so we planned an impromptu dinner at McDonalds.

It worked out great because the kids were given free ice cream since we were celebrating a birthday and they gave me a gift certificate for a free happy meal for Deklan.

Although it makes me somewhat sad he's not a "baby" anymore, we are really enjoying him at this age. He was a little slow to start talking, but he's using a lot of words now. He's also pretty easy-going and listens to us most of the time. However, we are starting to see the "two" side of him in that he likes to demand his own way and will throw a fit when he doesn't get it.

Deklan is also fun at this age because he loves to play with his brother now and is obsessed with trains (which he calls choo choo's).

We can't wait to continue to watch him grow up into a big boy!
