Grafton-Mommy Day

Last week while I was busy packing up all of the boys' summer clothes and not giving the kids my undivided attention, Grafton came up to me and said, "I want us to go out for a Grafton-Mommy Day and Deklan can stay home with Dad."

I definitely couldn't turn down a request like that, but I knew the next few days were were going to be very busy, so I decided to take him along on some errands that I had been planning to run by myself on Saturday.

When we got up Saturday Morning Grafton was so excited he told me he didn't want breakfast and that we should leave right away.

The plaza we went to was already decorated for Christmas and Grafton thought the giant candy canes were real. He found out the hard way that they are made of plastic by tasting it! I just figure he's building his immune system.

After shopping in Kohl's, Ross and Target we took a much deserved lunch break. Grafton wanted a pizza from the Target cafe, so we grabbed it to go and ate it in Chipotle where I was wanting to eat.

On the way out we stopped and made a wish in the fountain before heading to PetSmart to grab some food for our fish.

Next we went to my sisters house so that Grafton could see the new crabs his cousin Drew recently got. I told him not to start playing because we were just going to stop by, but we ended up being there for over an hour!

Our last stop was at a friends house. She was having a candle party open house and said that children were welcome. I figured Grafton would have fun playing with his friend while I looked, and they mostly ended up in the backyard.

When we went to leave Grafton showed me the picture he drew with chalk....

It was the two of us on our Grafton-Mommy Day!

I told Grafton the next time we go on one, he can pick our activity.
