It has been a tradition every year since my sister Hannah was 5 and I was 16 that we carve a pumpkin, toast the seeds, and then watch "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown".
Now that my family has grown, so has our tradition.

We usually make two or three batches of seeds. This year we made one that consisted of butter, Worcestershire sauce, and Lawry's seasoning salt. The other batch was made with butter, cinnamon, salt, brown sugar, and white sugar.

When Vince and I went to Disneyland last week the theme of the Haunted Mansion was the movie, "The Nightmare Before Christmas", and that inspired our pumpkins this year. They were Jack the Pumpkin King and his dog, Zero.

To finish up our tradition we ate our seeds while watching Charlie Brown in the light of our flickering pumpkins!
