8 Months

Our "Deklan Boy" turned eight-months-old this week.  It's hard to believe he's only been a part of our family for such a short time and yet he makes up such a big part of it.

When I was pregnant with him I had several people tell me that, "Two kids are more than twice as hard as one".  Up to this point, I have not found that to be true.  From the very beginning he has been content, easy-going, and good natured.  The transition from one to two has been very natural.

In this stage of his development Deklan sits up on his own, eats every type of fruit or vegetable that we have given him, babbles & laughs, and he is trying to be mobile.  He will go from a sitting position to flat on his belly and try to scoot.

He's also going through his "separation anxiety" phase. Vince & I are his two favorite people in the world and he'll cry sometimes if we leave the room or hand him to someone else.

Two parents could not ask for anything more!
