Well, yesterday Deklan crawled over to an area next to the love-seat where I have several toys placed. I knew he was okay over there, so I was running in and out of bedrooms grabbing our clothes for the day.
When I walked back into the family room I noticed Deklan was chewing on something. I quickly went over to him and saw that he had two tiny black pieces under his mouth. They looked like a bug's legs or antenna. This caused me to look in the area he had been playing and I saw a moth's wing on the ground!
Immediately I scooped his mouth and pulled part of a moth out of his right cheek. Approximately two minutes later I noticed he was still chewing, so I scooped his mouth again and pulled out another, small piece of moth. At this point I thought this disgusting experience was over.
About 5 minutes had passed and we were in the laundry room. I was ironing and talking on the phone to Vince about this experience. The next thing I heard was the sound of Deklan spitting up. I looked down and saw a puddle of saliva & flim on the ground, with the moths' wing laying in the middle, perfectly intact!
I felt nauseated over this for hours and guilty that I did not check the area he was playing in better. I'm just glad he doesn't even care about this experience and that I'm the only one traumatized.

LOL! Bugs are a good source of protein! :-) You have 2 boys- I am sure that they will eat a lot more bugs that you won't even know about!
