After holding it off for as long as I could, it was finally time for Deklan to get his first haircut. I did not anticipate for this to be a big deal because he's a very easy-going baby and Grafton has always liked getting his hair cut.
I was terribly wrong! Deklan started screaming right from the beginning and acted like he was being tortured the entire time.
In the seat right across from Deklan, Grafton was also getting his haircut and was fine with it as usual.
Once we got home, Deklan was back to his happy self and he and Grafton looked so handsome with their new haircuts!
Just for fun, I've included a picture of Grafton when he had his haircut for the first time. He was 7 months old in this picture.
I figure in another month or two Deklan will need his haircut again. I can only hope it will be a better experience for him!
One of my sons (who will remain nameless) was taken outside on the back steps behind the salon because he screamed so much when getting his haircut! That was a lifetime ago! He finally grew out of it! There's hope!
